Decontamination Training

Intuition, in partnership with the Department of Health, Estates & Facilities (England), has developed this innovative online training programme for healthcare employees involved in the decontamination of surgical instruments. The programme responds to an identified need for high quality formalized training of employees to improve implementation of decontamination standards and safety.

The programme contains over 25 hours of online training and consists of two courses based on the decontamination lifecycle.

Decontamination Practice: Aimed at employees working directly on the decontamination of surgical instruments
Decontamination Principles: Aimed at employees who require an appreciation of the decontamination lifecycle but who are not necessarily 'hands on' technicians

Each set comprises 15 tutorials, which also cover Microbiology, Health and Safety, and Endoscopy.
